How to create Agility Writer's article outlines from Excel/Google Sheet

Agility Writer employs a specific format for article outlines. Below is an easy way to copy and customize outlines from Excel or Google Sheets, which will then automatically adjust to fit the Agility Writer outline format, including setting up any power-up instructions.


Step 1: Define the heading type (H2/H3), the topic of the heading, and optionally include a power-up instruction as shown below.

Step 2: Copy the table, which may contain 2 or 3 columns, and paste it into the outline field in Agility Writer. Our system will automatically format the outline appropriately.

The power-up instruction will be configured automatically according to the information provided in your table.
