Topical Authority Audit Tool

Writing articles is fast and easy with AI. But this creates a new problem.
If you publish too many articles without a plan, you might confuse search engines like Google.
This leads to two main problems:
Topic Dilution:
This happens when you write about too many loosely related topics. For example, imagine a lawyer who wants to be known for "Personal Injury" cases.
But their website is full of articles about "Divorce Tips," "Tax Advice," and "Real Estate Contracts."
Even though these are all "legal" topics, Google gets confused. It sees a "General Lawyer," not a "Personal Injury Expert."
This makes it harder to rank for the specific keywords that bring in clients.Keyword Cannibalization:
This is when you have multiple pages fighting for the same keyword. Instead of one strong page ranking #1, you have ten weak pages ranking #50.
The Solution
The Topical Authority Audit tool. It looks at your existing website structure.
Then, it tells you exactly what to keep, what to combine, and what new articles to write. It helps you build a clean, powerful site structure that Google loves.
This tool is like an X-ray for your website. It crawls your sitemap (or a competitor's) to see how your content is organized.
It then uses AI to rebuild your site into a "Hub and Spoke" model. This is a proven way to show Google you are an expert in your field.

Review Recommendations: AI is smart, but it can make mistakes. Always check the suggestions before you make changes.
You Are in Control: You don't have to use every suggestion. Pick the ones that make sense for your business.
Best For: This tool is designed for focused websites, including:
Local Service Providers (e.g., Plumbers, Dentists, Lawyers)
B2B & SaaS Companies (e.g., Software, Agencies, Consultants)
Niche Authority Sites (e.g., specialized blogs like "Coffee Expert" or "Pet Care")
Brick & Mortar Stores (e.g., Retail shops, Restaurants)
Not Recommended For: Multi-niche blogs, personal diaries, or huge e-commerce sites with thousands of products.
URL Limit: The tool can check up to 300 URLs. Make sure your sitemap link is correct.
Unicode Characters: The tool currently only supports English for now. More languages will be added later.
Use as a Guide: Think of this report as a map, not a rulebook. Adapt it to fit your needs.

Go to the Topical Authority Audit tool in the menu.
Click the "New Audit" button.
Fill in the details:
Project Name: Enter a descriptive name for your audit (e.g., "My Website Audit").
Language: Select the language of your content (e.g., English).
Sitemap/URLs: Paste your sitemap URL(s) or a list of direct URLs. You can enter multiple URLs, one per line. The tool supports up to 300 URLs in total.
Main Topic Page Strategy:
Choose "Use Homepage" if you are a local business or small site. The main services will use the homepage as the pillar page.
Choose "Create New Page" if you are a large site and need a specific page for this topic. This means the system will not use the homepage to target primary services (it will be used more for branding), and the primary services will create a new pillar page.
Target Location: Enter your city or country (important for local businesses).
Business Factsheet: This is the most important part. Tell the AI about your business so it gives you the right advice.
Why it matters: The AI uses this information to understand your niche and business goals. This helps it recommend the right topic clusters for you.
Tip: We highly recommend using the AI Factsheet Generator to create a detailed and accurate factsheet.

Q: How often should I run an audit?
A: Run it when you start a new project, or every few months to check your progress.
Q: Can I audit just one part of my site?
A: Yes, if you have a sitemap for just that section (like https://example.com/blog-sitemap.xml), you can use that.
Note: Be sure those URLs are in the same group of multiple clusters. No URLs in the same cluster should be excluded.
Q: What if my sitemap is very large?
A: The tool only checks the first 300 URLs. If your site is huge, try to use a smaller, specific sitemap.
